S.K. Iron Foundry & Engg. Co - Ii

Over at 11/115 Rambagh, you will find S.K. Iron Foundry & Engg. Co - Ii. This is an old industrial neighborhood, and the foundry has been a part of the landscape here for quite some time. The work is loud and hot, as you would expect when you are dealing with iron. The walls of the foundry are dark with soot, and there is always the sound of metal hitting metal or the roar of the furnaces. We make a lot of different castings and parts that go into machines. It is the kind of place where your hands stay dirty no matter how much you wash them. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the drawings and the order books. We don't have fancy furniture, just some old chairs and a desk that has seen better days. People come in to discuss specifications or to check on when their parts will be ready. Rambagh is a busy area, so there is always a lot of movement on the street outside the foundry gates. We just focus on getting the molds right and making sure the iron is poured correctly. It is heavy, physical work that requires a lot of attention to detail, even if the environment looks a bit rough to an outsider. We take pride in just getting the engineering jobs finished.
