Singhal Grah Udhyog

You can find us over in Anurag Nagar on Balkeshwar Road. We are a small operation, what people usually call a Grah Udhyog, which just means it is very much a home-style industry. We don't have a massive factory or anything like that. Most of our work is done by hand or with some very simple machines we have. We make things that people use in their daily lives at home. The neighborhood of Anurag Nagar is a nice place to work because it is not too loud or crowded like the main market areas in the city. We have got a couple of rooms where we do the packing and the preparation work. It is very much a family-feeling type of place to be. We don't have a big staff of employees, just a few local people who come in and help us out every day. There is no big marketing strategy here; we just make our products and people come to buy them or we send them out to the local shops nearby. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from the morning until the evening. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit and have some tea when the work is caught up. We like being part of the community here on Balkeshwar Road. It is simple, really. We just focus on making good stuff that we would be happy to use ourselves. We just want to keep things running.
