Indiehock India is based at the National Tractor House, which is located near the Indian Oil petrol pump on the Mathura Bye Pass Road in Sikandra. It’s a very busy location because of all the heavy vehicle traffic coming off the highway. We operate out of a space that’s mostly used for storing various parts and equipment. Since we’re right next to a petrol pump and on a main bypass road, there’s a constant drone of engines and horns in the background. The building itself is quite plain, and our office is just a small room with some metal cabinets and a large wooden desk where we keep all our records. The floor is made of rough concrete and usually has a bit of dust or the occasional oil smudge from the parts we move around. We spend a lot of our time dealing with people who are passing through or local mechanics who need something specific for a repair. It’s not a fancy corporate environment by any means; it’s a working warehouse and office where things are a bit messy sometimes. We have to wipe down the furniture every morning because of the soot and dust from the road traffic outside. We’ve been in this spot for a good number of years and we’ve become a regular fixture on this stretch of the road. It’s just a place where we show up and do our work as best as we can.
