Satya Narayan Kirana Store is right in the middle of Sadar Bazaar at 37/67, Bindu Katra. If you know Agra, you know how busy the bazaar gets every day. We’ve been part of this noise and hustle for a long time. It’s a kirana shop, so we deal with all the kitchen basics. Pulses, rice, spices, that sort of thing. I usually have a few bags of grain sitting out front for people to see. It gets a bit tight in the shop when more than a few people come in at once. But that’s just how it is in Bindu Katra. We don't have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that squeaks a little when it's on high. My father used to run this place before me, and I learned everything from him. We don't do any flashy advertising or anything. People just know where we are. We open early because the ladies like to get their shopping done before the sun gets too hot. I’m usually here until late at night. Sometimes I even forget to take a proper lunch break if the crowd is heavy. The address 37/67 is easy to find if you are familiar with the bazaar layout. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bags and weighing things out for customers. My hands are usually dusty by the end of the shift. But it’s good work. It feels right to be part of the community here in Agra.
