Sanjay Provision Store

If you are near the Agra University or walking around Paliwal Park, you might have seen our shop on Moti Lal Nehru Road. It is a provision store, which means we try to stock a bit of everything that a household might need. Being so close to the university, we get a lot of students coming in for snacks or small items they need for their hostels. Then there are the local residents who have been living in this part of Agra for decades. The shop is at number 22/157, and it has been here through many changes in the street. We don't have any polished floors or bright neon signs. It’s a plain shop with wooden counters and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Sanjay handles most of the ordering, and we try to keep things that people actually use instead of fancy stuff that just sits there. The area around Paliwal Park is quite nice for a walk, so we get people stopping by on their way home. We spend a lot of time just talking to customers about their day. It feels more like a community spot than just a business. Sometimes the supply of certain items is a bit hit or miss, but that is just how it goes with a small operation. We don't use any fancy systems, just a notebook and a pen for keeping track of things. It works for us and the people we serve.
