R.P. General Store

Our store is on Anwal Kheda Road in Barhan, which is in the Ashok Nagar area of Agra. We aren't near the Taj Mahal or any of the big tourist places, we are just a local shop for the people who live out here. We have been in this spot for a long time. The shop is simple, with old wooden shelves that have seen better days. It gets very hot in Agra, so we usually keep the doors wide open to let whatever breeze there is come inside. The road outside can be quite dusty, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the jars and packets. It’s a family-run business, and we don't have any big goals other than keeping things running. We know almost everyone who walks through the door. It’s a place where people stop to chat for a few minutes while they buy their tea or sugar. We don’t have any fancy computers or modern checkout counters. We just use a basic scale and a notebook to keep track of things. Sometimes the stock takes a while to arrive from the city, but we manage. It’s a slow and steady life here in Barhan. We open the shop early and stay until late in the evening. There isn't much more to it than that. We just enjoy being part of the neighborhood and helping our neighbors get what they need for their homes.
