Ravi Daily Needs

I run this small place called Ravi Daily Needs in the Azaad Nagar section of Khandari here in Agra. As the name suggests I focus on things people need every single day like fresh bread, milk, and eggs. Every morning the delivery trucks come by very early to drop off the milk crates and I have to be here to receive them before the sun is even up. It’s a quiet time of day and I quite like the peace before the neighborhood wakes up. The shop is located in a handy spot for the people living in the Sadar tehsil area. Besides the fresh stuff I also keep a good supply of biscuits, chocolates, and basic grocery items like salt and sugar. The fridge in the corner makes a constant humming sound that I’ve grown used to over the years. I don’t have any employees so it’s just me behind the counter most of the time. If I need a break I usually have to ask my cousin to sit in for an hour. The walls are painted a simple cream color but you can barely see them because of all the shelves and posters. People usually pop in for just one or two things and they are often in a hurry to get to work or school. I try to be quick with the change so they can get on their way. It’s a simple business but it keeps me connected to everyone in Azaad Nagar.
