Rambaksh General Store

Rambaksh General Store is right in the middle of the main market at Subhash Bazar in Agra. Being near the chouraha means we are in one of the busiest spots you can find. There is always someone walking past or a bike honking right outside. We carry a wide variety of items because people in the market expect to find everything in one place. We have household supplies, stationery, and packaged foods stacked up high. The shop is narrow, but we make use of every inch of wall space for hanging packets of chips and small items. Working in Subhash Bazar is hectic. You start early in the morning when the wholesale trucks come in and don't really stop until late at night when the market finally quiets down. We know many of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often help each other out. Our customers are a mix of locals and people who come to the main market for their weekly shopping. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just a practical shop where the goal is to get people what they need quickly. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the door, or the power goes out, but we just keep a flashlight handy and keep going. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we just try to be a steady and reliable spot in the middle of the bazaar.
