Raja Mandi is right in the middle of the Kalinga Market in Santhepet. Our spot is number 15. If you've ever been to the market, you know how loud and crowded it gets. We've been part of this scene for a long time. We deal in various goods, mostly what's in season or what the local farmers bring in. It's a lot of early mornings. We have to be here before the sun is up to get the best spots and start unloading. The space is cramped and there's always someone shouting or a cart bumping into something. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the stuff out so people can see it. It's a very traditional way of doing business. We haggle a bit, we talk to the neighbors, and we try to sell what we have. Sometimes the weather is bad and nobody comes to the market, which is tough. Other days it's so busy we can't even sit down for a minute. We don't have a website or any of that modern stuff. We just have our reputation in Santhepet. People know they can find us at stall 15. It's a messy, loud, and honest way to make a living. We've seen kids grow up in this market and now they're buying from us themselves. We hope to stay here as long as the market stays standing.
