Pwan General Store

Pwan General Store is located at 15/316, Noori Gate in the Raja Mandi area of Agra. We are quite close to Lady Loyal Hospital, so we get a lot of people coming in who are visiting the hospital or work there. The street is always moving with rickshaws and people on foot. Our shop is a simple one, nothing too modern or fancy. We sell the basic things people need throughout the day. The space is a bit small, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes we have to use a small ladder to reach the top stuff which is a bit of a hassle. We've been at this Noori Gate location for a long time now. The building is old, and you can see that in the floors and the ceiling. We don't really do much advertising; people just know we are here because of the hospital nearby. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down and then a bit longer if there are customers. It can get quite hot in the summer, so we keep a water jug behind the counter to stay cool. Most of our customers are locals who live in the narrow lanes around Raja Mandi. We just keep track of things in a notebook and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a busy spot but we are used to the noise by now.
