Poonam Store is tucked away in Johri Bazar in Agra. If you know the area, you know how packed it gets with shoppers and tourists. We are right in the heart of the market. It’s a place that feels like it’s been there forever. We sell a variety of items that people in the neighborhood need. It’s not a polished retail experience. The shelves are wooden and a bit worn down at the edges. We don't have uniform-wearing staff or anything like that. It’s just us. The noise from the bazaar is constant, and you can always hear someone bargaining nearby. We try to keep our prices fair so people keep coming back. Sometimes it’s hard to keep the dust off the products because of all the foot traffic outside. We are a small operation, and we like it that way. We know which neighbors like which brands. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just stay open and wait for the customers to walk in. Agra is famous for many things, but for us, it’s just home and work. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but the way we run the store hasn't changed much.
