Paavandhaara Foundation

The office for Paavandhaara Foundation sits at number 36 in Pushpanjali Puram, over in Phase 1 of Sai Vihar here in Agra. It is not the easiest place to find if you are not from around here, but the neighbors usually point people in the right direction. We have a small room where we keep most of the supplies and a bigger area where we sit and talk. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for now. We spend a lot of time just figuring out the logistics of whatever project is currently on the table. Someone is always running out to get more pens or paper because we seem to lose them every other day. Agra gets really hot in the summer, so our ceiling fans are almost always going full speed. Most of us live close by, so we walk or take a scooter to get in. It is a noisy area with kids playing outside and bikes zooming past, but we have gotten used to the sound. We do not have a fancy board of directors or anything like that. It is just a handful of us making sure things do not fall apart. Sometimes we stay late because the work takes longer than we thought it would. We usually have lunch together in the back, sharing whatever someone brought from home that day. It keeps things simple and keeps us going through the afternoon.
