N.S. Art

N.S. Art is located in Chhai Pokhar, which is part of Achnera. It’s a smaller place compared to the big cities. That suits us just fine. We work out of a modest space where we do all our painting and artistic stuff. Usually, brushes are soaking in jars of water. Half-finished pieces lean against the walls. The floor is covered in drops of different colors that we never bothered to scrub off. Being in Achnera means we know most of the people who walk past our door. It’s a quiet life for the most part. Things pick up when there is a festival or a local event. No fancy mission statements or big goals exist here. We just like making things and that’s about it. Sometimes the weather in Chhai Pokhar gets really dusty. We have to cover everything up to keep the work clean. A lot of time is spent sitting and working on small details. It can be tiring for the eyes. Taking a break in the afternoon to sit outside and see what’s happening in the neighborhood is common. High-tech equipment isn't found here. It’s mostly just manual work and taking our time to get things done. We’ve been doing this for years. It has become a part of who we are. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels right. Most of our tools have been with us for a long time.
