Niharika General Store

Living and working in Baldev Ganj means things are always moving. Our shop, Niharika General Store, sits right in the middle of Loha Mandi in Agra. It’s an old area with narrow streets and lots of noise. You can hear the sounds of rickshaws and people talking all day long. Inside the store, we have things piled up quite high because the space is small. We try to keep everything organized but sometimes it gets messy when a lot of customers come at once. Most people come for their daily groceries or small things they forgot to buy at the big market. We know many of the families around here since they have been coming for years. The building is simple, just like the other shops on this street. Being in the 282001 zip code area makes it easy for most people to find us. We don't do much fancy stuff here. We just unlock the shutters in the morning and start the day. Sometimes the heat in Agra is too much, so we sit under the fan and wait for the evening rush. It is a routine that doesn't change much. We have different kinds of items, from cleaning supplies to snacks for the kids. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood where people drop by for a chat while they pick up their bags. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop on the corner.
