Nand Kishore Lala Ram Jain Company

This place has been Nand Kishore Lala Ram Jain Company for a long time. We are tucked away at No. 10/9-B in Katra Wazir Khan. If you haven't been to this part of the neighborhood, it can be a bit of a maze with all the narrow lanes and old buildings. We like it here though because the people are familiar and we know most of the faces that pass by our door every morning. The building itself is older, and we’ve had to fix the door a few times over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of what we handle and a small desk where we do the accounts. It’s not the kind of office you see in the movies. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the neighbors when things are quiet. The name on the board is a bit of a mouthful, but that’s just the family tradition. We don't spend much on decorating because we’re usually too busy keeping up with the orders and making sure everything is counted right. During the rainy season, the street gets a bit messy, but life goes on. We open up pretty early before the heat gets too bad in Katra Wazir Khan. It’s a simple way of doing things, and we don’t see any reason to change it now. We usually close up shop when the sun goes down and head home for dinner with our families.
