You can find Murphy & Murphy at Shop No. 7 and 8, specifically in Block No. S-17 of the Shoe Market. This is right in the middle of Sanjay Place. If you’ve ever been to the Sanjay Palace Shoe Market, you know how loud and busy it gets every single day. There are shoes everywhere you look in this area. We occupy these two shop units and they stay pretty packed with stock. It’s a lot of boxes and moving things around to find what someone wants. The market has a smell of leather and rubber that you just get used to after a week. We spend a lot of time on our feet, dealing with the flow of people coming through the block. It’s not the kind of place where you sit down much. Sanjay Place is a hub for this kind of trade, so we are surrounded by other shops doing similar things. The shop floor is worn down from all the walking. We don't have any fancy displays, just shelves and more shelves. Sometimes the overhead lights flicker a bit, but we just keep going. It’s a gritty, hard-working environment. We open up early to beat the main rush of the afternoon. By the time we close, the market is usually just starting to quiet down. It’s a basic shop in a busy market.
