Murari Provision Store

In Agra, the heat can be something else, especially when you are over near the police chowki in Shastripuram during the afternoon. Murari Provision Store is right there on the B Block and we see a lot of people. We are on Sikandra Road, so there is always some traffic moving past the front door. I usually open up the shutters pretty early to catch the cool air before the sun gets too high. The 282007 area is a busy part of town and there is always something going on. My shop is filled with all the usual provisions like grains and packets of soap. I don't use a computer or any of that, just a notebook and a pen for my daily accounts. The floor gets a bit of sand from the wind outside so I have to sweep a lot. I spend my time making sure the sacks are lined up right and the people are happy with what they get. Being near the police chowki means it is a safe enough spot to be at night. I see the same rickshaw drivers every single day. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic from Sikandra Road, but you get used to the noise after a while. The shelves are made of old wood and they have seen better days but they hold the stock just fine. I just keep them filled with the basics. It is a decent place to work and I have lived in Agra my whole life. Nothing special to look at, just a store.
