Mohammad Salim General Store

Mohammad Salim General Store is situated at the second corner in Kashmiri Bazar, right here in Agra. If you know the Phubbara area, we are quite close to that landmark. The bazaar is always full of people and noise, which is just how things are in this part of the city. We have a lot of foot traffic coming past the shop every single day. The shop stays quite busy, especially because of the central location in 282001. We keep a variety of goods piled up, from household cleaning items to snacks and dry rations. Because we are on the corner, we see everything that happens in the market. It gets very hot in the summer months, and the narrow streets of Kashmiri Bazar don't get much breeze. We spend our time restocking the shelves and making sure we have enough change in the drawer for the customers. It is a practical sort of place. We don't spend money on decorations or big advertisements. People know where we are and what we sell. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby rooftops come down and we have to keep an eye on the open crates. It is just part of the daily routine of running a shop in an old market area like this. We are usually here until late evening when the market finally starts to quiet down a little bit.
