Modern Electronic is sitting right at Sarai Pulia Chauraha here in Agra. If you know the crossing, you know it’s always crowded and a bit noisy. The shop is full of boxes and gadgets, sometimes stacked so high it's hard to see the back wall. We sell all sorts of things, from small components for repairs to bigger items like fans or televisions. I’ve been here for quite some time, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. I usually spend my time testing things or talking to customers who aren't sure which wire they need. It’s not a shiny showroom like you see in the malls. It’s a working shop where things might be a bit disorganized but we know exactly where everything is kept. The dust from the road is a constant battle, so I’m always wiping down the glass counters. People come in with broken stuff hoping I can fix it on the spot. I do what I can, though sometimes parts take a few days to arrive. It’s a lot of manual work and standing on my feet all day. My assistant helps with the heavy lifting and making sure we don't run out of the common stuff people ask for. We stay open late because that’s when most people finish work and remember they need a bulb or a battery. It’s just a plain electronics store serving the local crowd.
