If you know Mumbai, you know the Fort area is full of these old, tall buildings that have been around forever. Mohan Mention is one of those places where the hallways are narrow and you can feel the history of the city. The office is right in the middle of all the chaos of the business district. Outside, the street is always packed with people walking to the station or heading to the nearby courts. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but there is always something going on. We have papers stacked up and the ceiling fans never seem to stop spinning. It’s a small operation, so everyone does a bit of everything. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and find whoever is available. We’ve been at this Fort address for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the quirks of an old building, like the slow elevator and the way the windows rattle when a big truck passes by. It is a very honest way to work, being right in the heart of the old city. Most of the neighbors know us by name. We spend our days answering emails, filing documents, and keeping the business moving forward. It’s a lot of hard work, but we like being part of this neighborhood. There is a small tea stall just outside where we usually gather for a break when things get too hectic.
