Manjuntha Engineering Industries

Manjuntha Engineering Industries is over at B-48 in the Industrial Estate of Rajajinagar. We’ve been in this shed for a long time. It’s a typical engineering setup with lathes, drills, and a few welding stations. We do a lot of job-work for other companies around Bangalore. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, with oil on the floor and metal scraps in the corners, but that's a working shop for you. We don't have a human resources department or a marketing budget. It’s just a group of us who know how to work the machines. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch of parts, and other times it’s a bit quiet. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. If someone needs a part turned or a frame welded, they come to B-48 and talk to us directly. Rajajinagar is a good area for this kind of work because there are so many other shops nearby. We help each other out with tools or materials sometimes. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We just focus on the job at hand and making sure the dimensions are what the customer asked for. It’s been our way of doing things for years. There's no fancy signs or receptionists here. Just us and the machines, getting through the work list every day of the week. It is a loud environment but we are used to the rhythm.
