Manav Book Shop

We are located in the Sita Ram Plaza Market over in Raja Mandi. It is a lively part of town, especially since we are quite close to Bharat Cinema. You can usually hear the sounds from the market right outside our door. The shop is not very large, but we have filled almost every inch of the walls with books. They are stacked up high, and sometimes you have to move one pile to get to another. It is a bit dusty at times, but that is just how bookshops are when they have been around for a while. People come in looking for all sorts of things, and we do our best to remember where everything is hidden away. The plaza has a lot of different shops, so there is always a mix of people walking past. We spend a lot of time just talking to the locals who stop in after seeing a movie or while they are out doing their shopping in Raja Mandi. It is a simple life here, surrounded by paper and ink. We do not have any fancy displays or digital signs. It is just us and the books. Sometimes the bells from the nearby stalls ring out, and it adds to the atmosphere of the place. We have been in this spot at Sita Ram Plaza for a good number of years now, and we have seen the neighborhood change a bit, but the shop stays pretty much the same day after day.
