Makkhan Lal General Store

Makkhan Lal General Store has been sitting here in Jeevan Mandi for a long time. It’s right on the Main Bazar road in Agra, so it stays pretty busy with people passing through. We aren't trying to be one of those big modern supermarkets you see popping up. We just keep the things people actually need every day. You’ll find lentils, oils, some biscuits, and the usual household cleaners on our shelves. The shop is a bit tight with all the boxes, but we know where everything is kept. Agra gets hot in the summers, so we try to keep the drinks cold for anyone stopping by. Most of our customers are neighbors who live just a few streets away. They come in to chat as much as they do to buy their groceries. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the day to start. Being in the Main Bazar means there is always noise and movement outside. It’s a good spot to be. We try to keep our prices fair because we know everyone is just trying to get by. It’s a family-run kind of thing, nothing too formal. If you need something for your kitchen, we probably have it tucked away somewhere. Just ask and we’ll find it for you in the stacks.
