Laxmi Glass & Bangles

Our shop is called Laxmi Glass & Bangles and we are on Agra Road in Nagla Bhau. If you know where the petrol pump is, we are right near it. It is a very busy road with lots of trucks and cars passing by all the time. This means we get a lot of dust in the shop, so we are always wiping down the glass. We have thousands of bangles in every color you can imagine. It is a very colorful place to work. We have to be very careful because glass is fragile and things break easily if you are moving too fast. I have been working here for years and I still enjoy seeing all the different designs we get in. People come to us when they are preparing for weddings or special festivals. It can get very crowded in our small space during the festival season. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. It gets hot in the summer, but we are used to it. We don't do any big marketing. Our customers come from the nearby villages and word travels that way. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and being helpful to anyone who walks in. It’s a simple business but it keeps us very busy every single day.
