Laxmi General Store

If you are around Shivaji Market in the Chhipitola area of Agra, you might have seen our shop, Laxmi General Store. We are located right on Chipitola Road, pretty much opposite the Bijli Ghar. Being near the market means it’s always busy around here, especially in the evenings when everyone is out doing their shopping. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it does the job. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of shelves packed with all the usual household stuff. We carry everything from pulses and rice to washing powders and small snacks for the kids who stop by after school. Since we are right across from the Bijli Ghar, it’s a very easy landmark for people to find us. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high sometimes. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fan going and stay busy. We don’t really do any fancy advertising or anything like that. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or people passing through the market who realized they forgot to buy something at home. It’s a straightforward business, really. We open up, wait for people to come in, talk for a minute, and sell them what they need. It’s just the way things go here in this part of Agra and the 282001 area.
