K.V.Ayurvedic Medical College

K.V.Ayurvedic Medical College is sitting right along the NH-2 highway in the Kuberpur area of Agra. If you are driving on the main road, you can’t really miss the turn-off for our place. We spend our days here teaching young people about traditional Ayurvedic medicine and how to use different herbs and old methods for healing. The campus has some open space where we grow plants that are used in the studies, and it stays quite green compared to the dusty road outside. The building itself is a bit older and has seen many groups of students come and go over the years. It gets very hot in this part of Uttar Pradesh, especially in the summer months, so the stone floors in the hallways feel nice and cool. We have labs where the students do their practical work and a library that stays pretty full when exams are coming up. Most of the people working here have lived in Agra for a long time. We aren't a big corporate hospital, just a college where people come to study and learn a specific trade. You can hear the trucks rumbling by on the highway at all hours, but we just get on with our lessons. The staff stays busy with the paperwork and the kitchen makes simple meals for those staying nearby. It is a plain, hardworking place for learning.
