Kushwah Std & General Store

This shop has been at Namner Chauraha for quite some time now. It’s called Kushwah Std & General Store, and we are right in the middle of the Main Market area in Agra. We started out mostly with the phone booth side of things years ago, but these days it’s more about the general items people need for their houses daily. You can find pens, notebooks, and basic household stuff like detergents or toothpaste. The shop is tucked into a busy corner near the intersection. It gets really hectic during the afternoons when everyone is out running their errands. We try to keep the shelves filled, though sometimes things get a bit disorganized when it’s busy and we are in a hurry. It’s a family-run kind of place. We don’t have a big team or anything like that, just a couple of us helping out. People stop by on their way home to pick up things they missed on their main shopping trip. The old fan inside hums all day, and we usually have a small radio playing in the background. It’s not a big supermarket, just a local store where you can get a single pencil or a packet of milk without any trouble. We like being part of the Namner neighborhood and seeing the usual crowd walk past our door every day. It feels like home to us here in this part of Agra.
