Kishore General Store

So, we are over here at 13/292 in the Nai Ki Nandi area of Agra. If you know the Dhakran Crossing, you probably know where the Police Chowki is, and we are right near that. Kishore General Store is just a basic place, really. We open up early in the morning, usually when the sun is just coming up and the street is still a bit quiet before the traffic picks up. It’s mostly just me and sometimes a helper standing behind the wooden counter. We have all the usual stuff people need daily. You’ll find packets of biscuits, different types of soaps, bags of flour, and those little sachets of shampoo hanging from the ceiling on clips. The shelves are packed pretty tight because the shop isn't huge, so things are tucked into every corner. It gets a bit busy in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work and they remember they need milk or some spices for dinner. The fan hums quite a bit during the summer months, and we spend a lot of time just dusting the jars. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to chat for a minute while they pick up their eggs or a loaf of bread. It is a simple life here in Agra, and we just keep the shop running day after day without much fuss. We don't have any big signs or anything, just the stuff people need to get through their week.
