Gulati Beverages Co

We’re tucked away in Jawahar Nagar, over in Uttam Nagar. Number 8A is the building for Gulati Beverages Co. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze for the delivery trucks sometimes, but we make it work. We handle a lot of bottles and crates here. You can usually hear the glass clinking from the street. It’s mostly a family thing. My cousins and I are usually the ones moving things around. The neighborhood is pretty crowded, so we have to be careful when we’re loading up the small tempos. We’ve been at this for a while now. It’s not a glamorous job, just moving drinks from one place to another and making sure the inventory is right. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things pretty high near the back wall. The summer is our busiest time, obviously. Everyone wants something cold when it’s forty degrees outside. We’re usually sweating and tired by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom or a reception desk. It’s more of a warehouse feel inside. We just focus on getting the orders out to the local shops. If you live in this part of Delhi, you’ve probably seen our small trucks driving around early in the morning. We don't do any big promotions. We just try to keep our regular customers happy so they keep calling us. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it pays the bills and keeps us in the community.
