Jalma Hospital

We are located in the Taj Ganj area, right near the Taj. Most people think of tourists and hotels when they hear where we are, but we are here for the people who actually live and work in this neighborhood. The streets around Taj Ganj are narrow and always full of life and noise. Our hospital is an old building that has seen a lot of years go by. It’s not a modern medical center with shiny floors or glass walls. It’s a place with character and a lot of history in the bricks. We have high ceilings and windows that let in the Agra heat during the summer months. We do our best to keep everyone cool and comfortable while they are with us. The staff is mostly local people who have been here for a long time. We know the shopkeepers and the rickshaw drivers by name. When someone gets sick in this part of town, they usually end up coming to see us because we are close. It can be a bit chaotic outside with all the people visiting the monument, but inside we try to keep a steady and calm rhythm. We see a lot of common illnesses and the occasional emergency from the street. The hospital doesn't have a lot of fancy signs or expensive decorations. We just have what we need to take care of the folks who walk in. It’s a real, working hospital for our community in the middle of a busy area.
