Balaji Animals Farming

Balaji Animals Farming is based out in Village Nagala Udna. It’s near the Saray Neem post office in Jalesar. Working with animals means there isn't really such a thing as a day off. Whether it’s raining or the sun is beating down, the animals still need tending to. We’ve lived here all our lives, and the farm has been part of the landscape for as long as I can remember. It’s not a high-tech operation. We do things the way they’ve always been done around here, mostly by hand and with a lot of patience. The mornings start very early, usually before the sun is even up, with feeding and cleaning. It’s a messy job and you definitely don't want to wear your good clothes to work. We don't have a big office or a secretary. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us out in the pens or the fields. The pace of life in Jalesar is slow, and we like it that way. We aren't looking to expand into some massive corporation. We just want to take care of the livestock and make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s hard on the back and the knees, but there is a certain peace to it. We just take it one day at a time and hope for good weather. There is always something to fix or a fence to mend, so we stay pretty busy.
