Lakhani Chains

Running Lakhani Chains from this spot in Sudama Puri isn't always easy, but it’s what we do every day. We are over here in Nariach, right near the New Foundry Nagar. If you know Hatras Road, then you know how busy this area gets with all the industrial work going on around here. The shop is at 11c/735/5, which is a bit of a long address to write down, but once you get here near Foundry Nagar, it’s easier to spot than you’d think. We mostly deal with metal and heavy links. There’s usually a bit of dust in the air and the sound of metal clanking together throughout the day. My brother and I handle most of the heavy lifting ourselves. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy carpets or air conditioning. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of grease on the floor sometimes. People come by looking for specific sizes of chains for their machines or for towing things. We try to keep enough stock so we don't have to tell anyone to come back tomorrow. It gets quite loud outside with the traffic and the other workshops around us. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. It’s a simple setup. We open early when the sun isn't too high yet, and we stay until the last delivery is sorted out. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and the bills paid.
