Group Daily Need

University Road in Agra is always moving and stay busy. Being at Shop No 21/278 means we see a lot of students and staff from the university walking by all day. We are located near the Jivani Mandi area, and the police chowki is right there too, which makes the spot feel safe. The shop is called Group Daily Need because we try to have a bit of everything that a person might need suddenly. It is a main bazaar area, so it is never really silent or peaceful. I wake up early to get things ready before the morning rush starts. The shelves are very tight and crowded. I put the snacks and cold drinks near the front because that is what the younger crowd wants. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there with a torch waiting for it to come back. I have lived in Agra my whole life, so I know most of the faces walking past the door. We do not have any fancy displays or lights. It is just wooden racks and metal boxes. I spend a lot of my time cleaning the glass jars. If the tea leaves or the sugar runs out, it is a big problem for the customers, so I check the stock every single night. My back aches a bit from lifting the heavy sacks of flour, but it is just part of the job. It is a honest way to earn a living and people stop by for a quick chat.
