Gems Art India

Our workshop and display area, Gems Art India, is located in Jasoria Enclave, right on Fatehabad Road here in Agra. We are actually very close to the Taj Mahal, just about a kilometer away, so we see a lot of people passing by on their way to the monument. We focus on traditional stone and gem work, which is a craft that has been around this city for a very long time. It isn’t a fast process. It takes a lot of hours sitting still and working on small details that most people might not even notice. We don’t have a big team of salespeople; it is mostly just the artisans and a few of us managing the shop. The atmosphere is usually quite calm, which helps when you are trying to do precision work with gems. We don’t use any flashy advertisements to get people in. Most of our visitors find us because they are looking for something handmade and local while they are in Agra. The building is simple and practical, and we like it that way. It’s a place where we can focus on the art without too many distractions. Every piece we finish has a bit of our time and effort in it, and we are happy to show our work to anyone who stops by. It’s just how we have always done things.
