Over at 4/153 Balu Ganj, the hospital has its own way of doing things. Being in Baluganj means we see a lot of local folks who are interested in yoga and naturopathy rather than just taking a pill for every little thing. The building at G P Dixit Yoga & Naturopathy Hospital is a practical space where we have enough room for the mats and the various natural treatments we use. In the mornings, it is usually quite peaceful before the city fully wakes up. We spend a good portion of the day setting things up, cleaning the floor, and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. It is not like those big hospitals with all the beep-beep machines and sterile smells. It feels more like a house that has been turned into a workplace. People come in, take off their shoes, and we get started. Sometimes the sessions run long, and other times people are in a hurry to get back to their jobs. We don’t do much advertising; the sign outside is enough for the people in Balu Ganj to find their way in. It is a simple life here, just focusing on movement and staying healthy without making a big fuss about it.
