Fatima Hospital

Cathedral House is where you will find us. It’s an old building with a bit of history to it, and we have been operating Fatima Hospital out of this location for quite a while. The ceilings are high and the floors are made of that old stone that stays cool in the summer heat. It’s a unique spot for a hospital, but it works for us and the people who come to see us. We don’t have any fancy signs out front, just the name so people know where to turn. Inside, it feels a bit more like a home than a sterile clinic sometimes. We have our regular routines, like the morning handover and the afternoon cleaning shift. The windows are large, letting in some natural light, which is nice for the patients staying with us. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most modern place around. We just want to make sure that when someone from the neighborhood comes in with a problem, we are there to help them. The staff is a small group, so we all know each other’s business and we work together to keep things running. Sometimes the plumbing is a bit temperamental because of the age of the house, but we deal with it as it comes. It’s a quiet place for the most part, away from the heaviest traffic, making it a decent spot for people to rest and get better.
