Eye Lid Travels

Eye Lid Travels is based at Shop Number 5 in Bhishamber Bhawan. We are right opposite the SBI ATM, which makes it very easy to give people directions. If they find the ATM, they find us. We’ve been operating out of this building for some time now. It’s a straightforward travel agency. We do things like booking flight tickets, sorting out train reservations, and arranging taxis for local or outstation trips. The office isn't very large, just enough space for a couple of desks and some chairs for when people come in to discuss their plans. I run the place with a bit of help, and we spend a lot of our day on the computer or talking to airlines and hotels. It’s a lot of routine work, but it keeps the lights on. The building itself is quite busy, with different shops and people coming and going to the bank across the street. We don't have any big mission statements or glossy brochures to hand out. We just tell people what the prices are and what’s available. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to read the newspaper. We’ve lived in Agra for a long time, so we know how to get things done here. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just try to be useful to whoever walks in through the door. It is just a small office but it works for us.
