Dr. Kushwah Clinic

We’ve been here on Sailai Road for a good while now. Most people know the spot because it’s right near Kanishka Gift Sports, which is a big landmark around Nagla Mirza Bada. If you’re walking down the road, you can’t really miss us. It’s a busy part of town and there’s always something going on outside. The clinic itself is pretty straightforward. We have a small waiting area with some chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job. My desk is usually covered in papers and some old medical journals. It’s not fancy, but it works for what we do every day. People come in with all sorts of things, mostly just local families from the neighborhood. Some days are packed and you can barely find a place to sit, while other afternoons are quiet enough to hear the traffic passing by. I try to keep things organized, though sometimes the filing takes longer than I’d like. There’s a window that looks out towards the street, and I spend a lot of time watching the rain or the dust kick up when it’s dry. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of us making sure things run. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but the fan keeps the air moving. We just focus on seeing whoever walks through the door and making sure they get what they need before they head back out to the bazaar.
