About Central Footwear Training Institute – Electrical in Agra
Our institute is over in the Sikandra Industrial Area at Site-C. We have a couple of units, C-41 and 42, where we spend our time teaching people about how shoes are actually made. It’s a lot more hands-on than most people think. We’ve got machines, leather, and all sorts of tools scattered around. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s where the real learning happens. We aren't about big speeches or fancy brochures here. We just want people to get their hands dirty and understand the craft. Sometimes the workshop gets a bit messy with scraps and glue, but that’s just part of the process. The instructors have been in the footwear industry for a long time, so they know all the little tricks that you can’t find in a book. We see students from all over coming through these doors. Some are just starting out, and others want to learn a specific skill. We try to keep things practical. There’s no point in talking about footwear if you aren't actually making something. The building itself is pretty standard for the industrial area, nothing too special to look at from the outside. But inside, there is always someone working on a sole or stitching a pattern. We just keep doing what we do, year after year, helping folks get a start in the shoe business. It’s honest work, and we’re glad to be doing it here in Sikandra. There is always a new challenge with every batch of students, but that keeps it interesting for us too.
