Bhai Ji General Store

Bhai Ji General Store is located on Nunhai Link Road in Agra, near Shahadra Chungi. It’s a decent spot with a lot of people passing by on their way to work or the market. We keep a variety of things like stationery, soaps, shampoo, and packaged snacks for the school kids. It’s a small shop, so we have to stack things pretty high to make every item fit properly. I’ve lived in Agra all my life and this shop is where I spend most of my time these days. My wife brings me lunch every afternoon in a steel tiffin. We don’t have a fancy computer system for billing our customers, we just use a blue pen and a small notebook. It’s faster that way for us and the customers don't seem to mind. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we have to use a torch to find things in the back corners. Customers are used to it and we just keep talking while I find their items. We talk about the local news or how hot the sun is while I wrap their items in old newspaper or plastic bags. It’s a simple life and we are quite happy with it. We don't have any big goals of opening more branches or getting rich. One shop is enough to keep us busy and help the people living around here. We just try to keep the basic things in stock so our neighbors don't have to go far.
