Avadash General Store

Avadash General Store is over in Kushwah Colony, which is just off Kheria Road here in Agra. It is a quiet residential neighborhood for the most part. Our shop is where people come when they need small things for their homes. We carry notebooks, pens, soap, and some packaged food items. The shop is not very large, so everything is within arm's reach. We have been here since the colony started growing. Agra can get very crowded, but our street stays relatively calm. We know most of the kids who come in for chocolate or chips after school. Sometimes the door squeaks a bit when you open it, but we do not mind. We do not have a big staff, it is usually just me or my brother behind the counter. We do not use any fancy computers for our accounts. We just use a traditional ledger and a pen. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but the goods on the shelves are always fresh. We try to keep the staples like salt and matchboxes always in stock. It is not a supermarket, just a place where you can get what you need quickly. People in the colony know they can count on us being open most days. We do not have a big sign outside, just the name written above the door. It is just our way of making a living and helping out the neighbors. We like it here.
