You can find us at Shop No. 5 in Gaushala Market. We've been at this spot near the Water Works Crossing for a while. Alfa Colour Chem is what we call the business. We deal with chemicals and colors, mostly for industrial use or whatever people in the trade need. It’s a small shop, but we keep a lot of inventory packed in the back. Balkeshwar Road is usually pretty busy with trucks and rickshaws, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the containers are sealed. It’s messy work sometimes, handling all those dyes. My clothes usually have a few stains by the end of the day. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the local businesses get what they need without too much fuss. Most of our day is spent on the phone or checking invoices. The market is a tight-knit place, and everyone knows everyone. If you’re looking for a specific chemical grade, we probably have it or know where to find it. We don't do fancy advertisements. We just open up in the morning and do the work. It’s a simple operation here. We've seen the area change a lot over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same for us. It is just a regular day of work in Balkeshwar.
