U. S. Industries

Start by looking for Hrishya, right near National Highway 44. You will see us there. Sometimes the trucks roar past all day and the dust kicks up, but that is just how it is in this part of South Tripura. We opened U. S. Industries because there wasn't much around this area for a long time. Local people used to have to travel quite a bit just to get basic supplies. It’s not a huge place, just a simple setup where we keep our stock and talk to whoever stops by. Most mornings we spend time moving things around or checking what came in the day before. The rain can be really heavy here in Tripura, so we spend a lot of time making sure everything stays dry under the roof. It’s mostly family and a couple of guys from the village helping out with the heavy lifting. We don’t have fancy office chairs or anything like that. Just some old wooden benches and a lot of inventory. If you’re driving down the NH 44, you can see our sign pretty clearly. We usually have the doors open by eight in the morning. Sometimes the neighbors come over for tea and we just sit and talk about the weather or how the road work is going lately. It’s a quiet life mostly, but we stay busy enough with the locals. We’ve been here for a few years now and know most of the faces that pass through.
