If you're walking through M.G. Bazar, you'll see us at Stall No. 2 in Agartala. That is where we run Sree Krisna Tea Ltd. Being in a market like M.G. Bazar means it’s always loud, crowded, and full of energy every day. Our stall is small, but we pack it full of different tea varieties from around the region. It’s a very traditional way of doing business. We talk to people as they walk by, and many of our customers have been coming to us for years. There’s no air conditioning or fancy furniture here. We have some old wooden shelves and a small counter where we weigh the tea for everyone. The smell of the market is a mix of everything, but the tea smell usually wins out at our little spot. We aren't some big corporation with a head office in a skyscraper. We’re just market people. We get our stock from the local estates and sell it directly to the folks in town. Sometimes we have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise of the bazaar and the traffic. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but we enjoy the chat with the regulars. We don't have any slick marketing or ads. We just let people smell the tea and decide for themselves if it's what they want. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living in Agartala.
