Soda Fountain Center

We are situated on A. A. Road in Unakoti, right near the Pabirachara School. It gets quite lively when the school lets out and the kids are everywhere. Soda Fountain Center is a small spot, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent around the soda machines. They need a lot of looking after to keep them running right. We spend time cleaning the nozzles and making sure the syrups are topped off. It’s a hands-on job for all of us. We don’t sit in an office. We are usually behind the counter or out in the back moving heavy tanks. The road outside can be dusty sometimes, but we try to keep the inside cool. We’ve seen a lot of students grow up over the years. Some of them still stop by even after they’ve finished school and moved away. It’s a local thing that we enjoy. We don’t really care about being the biggest shop in town. We just want to make sure the soda is cold and the service is quick enough. Life on A. A. Road is pretty predictable, which we actually like. We have our regulars who come in at the same time every day for a drink. It makes the day go by faster when you have someone to talk to. We don’t do any flashy marketing. Word of mouth is enough for us. It’s just a regular shop doing regular things for the people here in Unakoti.
