We set up shop in Aralia, over by the post office in Agartala. If you’re heading through East Samtamuga, you’ve probably passed us. It’s a typical garage setup—a bit of oil on the floor, plenty of old tires stacked in the corner, and the constant sound of someone banging on an engine block. We mostly handle local cars and whatever else rolls into the yard. It’s a greasy job, and by the end of the day, our uniforms are usually a mess. We don’t have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. Most folks just stand around and chat while we take a look under the hood. Parts can be hard to get sometimes out here in Tripura West, so we spend a lot of time on the phone trying to track things down. It’s a bit of a headache, but we manage to get things running eventually. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town. We just like fixing things and seeing a car drive away sounding better than it did when it arrived. Our hands are always dirty, and there’s always a cup of tea sitting somewhere getting cold while we work. It’s just how it is. People know us, and we know them. We keep the doors open and do our best with the tools we have, one vehicle at a time. It is a long day usually, but we manage.
