Mainak Enterprises

Down here in Upper Beniasole, things move at their own pace. We’re located in the Adra area of Purulia district. It’s a quiet part of the world, mostly. We started Mainak Enterprises to handle some of the supply needs people have around here. It's mostly paperwork and coordinating things, but we spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to folks who stop by the office. It isn’t a large building, just enough space for our files and a couple of desks. The dust from the road gets in through the windows, so we’re always wiping things down. My cousin helps me out with the logistics. We try to keep track of what people in the district are looking for. Sometimes we're dealing with building materials, other times it's something else entirely. It depends on the month. We’ve lived in Purulia all our lives, so we know most of the people who come in. We don't use any fancy systems, just a few ledgers and our memory. The internet is a bit patchy sometimes, so we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way. If the truck is late, we just wait. That's life here in Beniasole. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small one near the door. It’s a simple business, really. We just try to stay organized and helpful.
