Bengal Tiles Machinery is out here in Palashkola, near Adra in the Purulia district. It is a quiet place compared to the big cities, but there is always something going on with the machines. We work with equipment related to tile making. The roads around here can be a bit bumpy, especially during the rains, but we manage. People know us in the local area as the place that deals with machinery. It isn't a massive factory with thousands of people, just a dedicated group of us working in the shed. The air is different here in Purulia. We spend a lot of time checking parts and making sure the gears are turning. Sometimes things break down and we have to figure out a fix on the fly. That is just how it goes with this kind of work. We started small and stayed that way because it is easier to manage things ourselves. You won't find any glossy brochures here. Most of our tools are well-used and a bit greasy because we actually use them. It is hard work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. But it is good to see the machinery actually working and heading out to where it is needed. We have been in Palashkola for quite some time now. Adra is the nearest post office. It is a simple life, focused on the metal and the mechanics of the tile business. We just keep our heads down.
