I grew up around here in Allidoddi and farming is just what we do. My place is at 9/8/52, which is quite close to the NTR Stadium. People usually find us by looking for that landmark. The day starts early, mostly before the sun is even up properly. It’s hard work, digging and checking the crops, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the weather doesn't help at all, either too much rain or none. We just manage with what we have. Most days are the same. You wake up, go to the field, see what needs fixing or watering, and then do it again tomorrow. It’s not fancy. The soil gets under your fingernails and stays there. My family has been doing this for a long time. We aren't trying to be the biggest farm around, just a steady one. The stadium nearby gets loud during games, but we just keep working through it. It’s nice to be outside though. Sometimes I sit by the gate when the work is done and watch the people go by toward the town. There is always something to do, like fixing a fence or checking the water lines. It's just a regular life here in this part of the world. We don't have a big office or anything, just the land and the house. It's enough for us to get by and stay out of trouble.
