Venkateshwara Transport

Out here in Murimadugu village, we run Venkateshwara Transport. Our base is at H. No. 7-31. It’s a quiet spot in the Jannaram area, but we stay busy with moving goods around. We have a couple of trucks that stay on the road most days. Usually, it's local stuff like crops or building materials for neighbors. We don't go across the whole country, mostly just around this district. The trucks are old but they still run fine. We do the repairs ourselves when something breaks down, which happens now and then. It’s dusty work and we spend a lot of time waiting for loads to be ready. I started this because there was a need for a steady way to move things from the village to the bigger markets. My cousins help me out with the driving and the loading. We don't have a fancy office or a computer system. We just write everything down in a notebook. People come by the house when they need something moved. We talk about the price and the timing, and then we get to it. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We know the roads around Jannaram like the back of our hands. Even when it rains and the dirt tracks get muddy, we find a way through. It’s just what we do. We don't mind the long hours much.
